    Just wondering if you've made any how to 'burst' threads on here beacuse your pro it. Or know if there is a guide on here on it? Cant seem to find one if there is

    Thanks Dozey,

    Unfortunately there isn't a guide on the forum for bursting. I'm thinking of doing a video on my method for my next build. I use water-based Colortone dyes from Stewmac for my bursts which are a little easier to work with, but others have also achieved great results with Dingotone.

    Cheers for that guys. Ill get onto those blogs asap. I think ive watched most of the vids on youtube but the ones that are staining bursts are no where near as good as yours gavs!

    This is the technique I used, see 6th post down. I used colortone stains & tru oil on this axe.
