G'day Ozzie, love how your are gathering all your bits in preparation for the arrival of the behemoth. Hope you get a pleasant surprise with JB PUP Routs. On mine (and most other forum members) the lugs that hold the mounting screws were slightly more outbound than the stock kit ones and didn't take much work to get that sorted.

So the very light chisel like gouges I got should do the job....I have some other fine shaped files as well.
Looking forward to this build. Was so tempted to grab the thunderbird kit for something to do....but saved myself by now having ordered all the parts I can get without the kit.
No builds on the bench....going so nuts I got a little multi drawer parts bin thing from Aldi and put all my screws, nuts, caps, pots and switches in it.
If I manage to put away the money for this kit next payday.....I am in serious danger of buying the thunderbird kit.......mmmmmm bass goodiness. 😎
