    IMO the black looks better than the cream as it matches the knobs. Would still go chrome on all of them FTW (knobs too!)

    Coming together nicely Woks. Those ferrules are hard to get aligned. I've practiced on scrap wood using a variety of techniques and have yet to get a straight line. And the black pup surrounds with the knobs look great and contrast well with the lighter stripe of wood.

    for lined ferrules you could just drill through a metal block and use it as a jig?

    Yeah Tony scratch builds are much more rewarding than building a kit and you can make any shape you like

    Thats too true mate

    I have an exact template made from a 1952 Telecaster i have been wanting to do, and a to spec unfinished 1952 Swamp Ash Telecaster body ready to start on that the same guy made for me. All specs off a 1952 he had in his shop for a few days, i just get jittery every time i drag the Kauri out.
