Yeah mate I got the dimarzio blaze custom 7's, push pull pot, going the cloth wire route and a switchctaft Jack. Only things stock will be the bridge, tuners and 3 way.
sounds good Andrew, should sound like an animal. I've never played a 7 string, so the heavy top string is tuned to a B (standard tuning) ? No doubt you will drop the tune a few steps

Yeah mate that's exactly right. B,e,a,d,g,b,e. This one's staying standard for now but the custom one will be like an 8 string without the high e, and drop tuned so it'll be e,b,e,a,d,g,b. That should rumble.
cool no worries. May take some tweaking with the floyd rose trem with the spring tensions. Has it got 3 or 5 springs for the tremelo ?

Top is starting to come good also.
I think it comes with 3. The custom one is a string thru with a tune o matic anyway, 27" scale so it should stay pretty solid with an 80 on the low e.
that top looks awesome Andrew, another GOTM contender for sure.
Custom 8 string sounds cool. Is that PBG or another supplier ?

Yeah it's a pbg kit, but it's a 7, not an 8. Just loosing the high e. Might have a go again this month but the 2 entries so far are gonna be hard to beat!
