The back came up real nice, probably for the simple fact I got pretty o.c.d with the body contours and took it all down to about 1200 grit so yeah..the prep definitely paid off. The top didn't actually come up half as well and could have probably benefited from a grain filler, there's some pores showing through in quite a few spots it is quite dimply. After a light going over with some 800 it's not going to be anything a few coats of lacquer won't hide though./<\\/p>[/<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/]<\\/p>/Quote from west0288 on September 18, 2014, 00:16

@ Jarrod, the "Black Knight" hehe good one, naa it's comin' up not too bad so far (touch wood)
@Gav, thanks heaps man
Waterslide decals turned up today so I shot a few mist coats of clear on the headstock and threw the back decal on.
He's done an awesome job and I would definitely recommend him for anyone needing nitro(or acrylic for that matter) compatible decals.

Holy hell that looks just awesome. really digging this build
Just knocked over with the features, design work, paint, finish - everything.
This baby will be an absolute humdinger!
I'm Really keen to see some more progress shots as this epic unfolds . . .
@ Tim, Max - Hey thanks heaps guys.
Front decal's on and goes nicely with the "racing stripe" as Gav dubbed it. The photo doesn't really do the gold lettering justice but I'm sure some pics further down the track should highlight it a bit better.
