I have an issue though. The pots don't clear the body to be able to screw the nut onto it. Will sand inside the cavity a bit.

Andrew, looking sweet. Is the copper shielding too thick for the nut on the pots to thread on ?

Nah no shielding mate. Probably about a mil or so off the thread even popping up. The pots closest to the edge are fine it a just the two closest to the strings. I'm guessing it's where the top arches and the routs for those pots aren't deep enough to compensate for the arch.

Sorry about the photo, bit hard to do extreme close ups outside at night.

ah ok got it Andrew, the pot recesses need to be deeper then where the arch is higher. Will need to make those 2 recesses a tad deeper. Forget about the washers and that should save close to 1mm

Sure am. All that's left to do is glue the nut in and string her up

More problems haha. With the neck in place the bass side us considerably lower than the treble side, like 5mm plus difference. I shimmed it last night so now it's flat but the neck is too ytall and even with the bridge all the way out its still buzzing out and won't fret notes at all.
