Unfortunately, the more you thin the MOP, the weaker the colours get. Just be careful on the thinning process and keep trying it at regular intervals. A brighter diode will certainly help.

Was originally going to fretlight the side dots but with the work involved in the inlays went for a luminous side dot instead.
Found some luminous powders on Ebay as couldn't find any premade red ones. Mixed with some standard 5 minute areldite and then dripped and pushed the material into the holes.

The description on eBay said 6hrs so probably ten minutes. Will do some testing once the necks done. And if they don't really glow will still be coloured so all good.

Good one Tony, should look great day or night.

I looked into glow in the dark stuff too for the Swampy Tele but ended up doing the shiny metallic look instead.

6 hours is ambitious and hope it lasts longer than ten minutes.

    Cheers, Waz

On the weekend finally got a chance to continue with this build. Test fitted the neck and fits really well and tight, just a tweak required on the outer end of the pocket. starting to come together. Tonight started to fret the board and

    then this happened.
So far have resisted the urge to test my arm.
the inlay has sunk in a bit and cracked at the 12th fret.
Will have to attempt a super glue repair and see if I can get the inlay back in shape.
If that is not successful will pull the 11th fret and the inlay and epoxy fill and fit a new inlay.( Pabs made some spares)

That's freaking hard core Tony! It looks awesome with the neck and body assembled.
    Edit: Bugger about the inlay.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
