    Cheeerrrs Cuzzzeee Bro!!!

The Wallabies are a disgrace at present. Thank God we are better at playing Rugby League but you Kiwis are pretty damn good at that too.

I feel that people are forgetting history, there was a period in the late 90s, early 00s where the Wallabies were just as unbeatable.
They will come good, and you can see the signs starting to build now, they just have to get some consistency.
Like it or not, world rugby needs them and SA strong else no one has any hope against the ABs and the Euro Clubs will take primacy, and all the best players then international rugby will die.

Reckon that the way they play Super Rugby, then club games with a few international games sprinkled in here and there doesn't help foster growing the game from the club level as all the focus is on just making the elite teams. More needs to be done to bring through more players and improve overall skill base.

NRL is doing a better job with their interstate Intrust Comps where many players now have that intermediate level to refine their skills whilst aiming for the top level.

Club Rugby up here seems more of an afterthought for all the losers who didn't make the Wallabies squad to have something to fill in a bit of time. Also showing no games on free to air doesn't help grow the game locally. Got Foxtel so I can watch them if I want to but not everyone can afford the extra cost of pay TV.

This is true, I've been involved with NSW subbies rugby over the past decade and the support from the ARU is pathetic, they only care about the wallabies, NSWRU only gives a shit about the Waratahs and leaves it up to subbies rugby to shoulder the load. QLD is no different. The NRC is great, but so poorly promoted that it's doomed to fail. Which is sad as the idea is good, but the ARU have been ham fisted about execution.

Me thinks ARU doesn't have much money to play with?

Since 2003 they have chewed through 700 MILLION DOLLARS. They've had plenty of cash, they've just blown it like a drunken Uni student on an Amsterdam binge weekend. Buying flash in the pan leaguies instead of spending on proper long term development. Perks and privilege for the boards and directors, propping up failing Super Franchises. They need to push the money lower down the pyramid to build depth and strength and to fight AFL and Football. In development terms the NRL has it all over them and even they are doing a pisoor job against AFL

Applied another coat of Intensifier last night, and this one is going to have about 2 and a half weeks to dry as I am away for work for a bit.

Seems okay though there seems to be some striping across the top, which i think may be grain related as it line up like that. We shall see.

Fark. You know you need to pull your finger out when you drop back to page 5.

So anyway, we are finally ready for the last intensifier coat, after having many interruptions, i finally got around to a quick wet sand to knock down all the dull and prickly bits. It also removed the dull/shine/ stripes that i was worried about so i guess its time to bang on with this one!

So we are going to chug away and see if we can't make some suitable progress towards an actual finish coat application sometime in the next 2 weeks.
