    Hi

So I strung her up (terrible way to describe the operation...) ...

Bone nut filed, truss rod adjusted, intonation adjusted. Put DÁddario´s half rounds on it cause I wanted more comfortable strings but not all flats - wanted to keep some of the rounds´sound. Very nice strings by the way.

The Action on E-string is about 2,5mm at 12:th fret so not bad at all. The neck feels very comfortable and actually better than my 38mm jazz now that I´ve played it. Don´t have to squeeze so much when pressing two strings at the same time with my left.

The preamp works well - although have to put the bass almost off to get the higher tones to come through.

The coil split is wonderful - I can get very different tones just by flipping the switches and blending the two pups. I love it! And talking about low end - this one has more bottom than any of my other basses.

I left the crack on the headstock as it is for now. It doesn´t look too bad and I have plenty of time to decide what I wanna do with it. Just have to design and make the trussrod cover.

Here are some pics of it all playable:

So far I´m very pleased on how this one came out. Only power tools I had were battery operated drill and a dremel.

    Thanks guys!

This has been a very big learning experience and a lot of fun. I'm not too familiar with recording sofware but I'll try to make a demo at some point - might take a while though...It's already playing nicely but will need some tweaks as the neck still finds it's place. After I get the headstock finished I'll post pics and hopefully a sound demo.
