    DB always said to relic a body tie it to your bike and ride around the block a few times
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Honestly, that's getting a bit too excessive for relicing for my liking, it almost looks like a caricature.

    Maybe it's his ex missus who is driving off in his ute. Just as well the amp has been tied down with ratchet straps otherwise it would end in the dirt too.

    It's possible, his ex missus could have been doing it in a fit of jealousy seeing as he was spending more time with the guitar rather than with her, but we don't know that for sure....lol


    My comment was actually aimed at that first pic in this thread,, the one with the guitar with the neck attached at an odd angle and the pickguard all broken up.

    I really dislike relicing, I like to think of it as factory munted
    if you want a guitar with 'character' play it, gig it, earn it.
    It shouldn't come from sandpaper ,,,,,, sigh.

    Hey Bruce, I agree with relic'ing guitars, they should be road worn and gigged to look like that, not sanded

    Agree with Bruce & Woks. It is all part of the natural ageing process and manufacturing such is just faking it.
