    All good, no "correcting" intended.
She has others not in that photo. She loves her 12 strings hence the choice of my first build.
And on the build side of things ... I set the neck today, clamps come off tomorrow and I'll have a reasonable idea if this thing will be loved or given to one of my grand-kids to play with

Thanks Nick, she loves playing it, also loves the "art" aspect of it hanging on the wall.
The guitars don't have any particular place to hang, they just come down and go up wherever there's room. I like it when that white lady is mixed in with my black strats.

Eight coats of clear, time to let it harden up a bit.
This week I'll have a long hard look at the electrics.

Supplied in ES-12G kit are 4 pots.
2 with R1610N stamped and a green colour on the backing.
2 with R1610NY stamped and brown on the backing.
How do I know volume from tone or ore they interchangeable?

Hi Corky, check the other side of the pots to see if it has A250, B250, A500 or B500 printed on it. the number is the resistance and you generally use A pots for volume and B pots for tone, one is audio and the other linear taper

no worries Corky, a general rule is use 250k pots for single coil pups and 500k pots for humbuckers but they can be swapped to get the sound you are after

    My education continues, thanks.
In simple words how would you describe the sound of 250K compared with 500K on humbuckers?
At this time I'm putting it together as supplied except for the string / nut positions. If up the road I change things from 500 to 250 would I change the 4 pots or only 2? I assume 4 but I know enough to never assume.

I'm no expert on electronics Corky, I just read some stuff on the net.

Have a read of this article explains it in simple terms
    http://menga.net/the-difference-betw...ectric-guitars

everyone is chasing a different sound so see how you go with the 500k pots before you change anything
