Thought I'd give this thread a bump. I'm keen to see the rest of this review as that LP Special looks pretty damn sweet.

I recently capitalised on all the 2015 model hate and picked up an LP Studio for a reasonable price (ending a 3 year GAS-free streak).

I found the G-Force to work pretty much as advertised but can understand why proper musicians would hate it: it's probably not ideal for live playing, sometimes it needs multiple attempts to get to pitch; changing between tunings can be fiddly; and perhaps the biggest, I don't think all that movement helps tuning stability.

That said I think it's a good fit for a 'studio' guitar as you can stay in tune at the touch of a button and switch between tunings for different tracks. Plus there is the laziness factor - after using the G-force for a while, picking up an ordinary guitar you just kind of look at the headstock expectantly and then feel a little bit disappointed.
