We did do it the first time, but it just wasn't hard enough. Maybe more coats were needed though.... I had it to 1200. Although, I've got to admit, anyone needing clear on epoxy - Brasso, then Silvo. That top one is only sanded to 1500 then brasso. Silvo gets it even better.

Do you know anything about the Feast Watson Glass Finish Countertop Epoxy aging?

No pick guard, BUT, if I ask very nicely my partner may make me wooden pickup surrounds out of ebonized cypress.

It's fun, it'd work well under a paper or wallpaper finish too. I've seen it done (similarly) to do a homemade pink paisley

Pretty sure Fender used wallpaper for their paisleys. This is looking so cool, great stuff.

    All one piece.

Used Brasso and the silvo for polishing to a high shine, then paste wax and buffing. More buffing and a final spritz when it's all assembled. One sad thing is that the holes were not drilled quite right at the factory..

Yup, B5 (?) style bigsby trem.
2 of the tuner holes were slightly out, NBD, but the neckplate holes weren't the best so the screws don't sit quite right, although it did mean I had to replace the neckplate for it because it was REALLY out with that.
