    Hi From Melbourne

    Hi Guys

been lurking for a few days and this being an Aussie site i decided to join up.

I love to make my own guitars and repair vintage guitars i find on the cheap, i wind my own pickups, do my own wiring etc etc.

Looking at doing a kit in the new year, possibly a 12 string, too many projects on the go at once at the moment, and i need to clean a few up before i dive in to anymore.

Hoping to contribute something as i go along, or if i can give some help or advice, i will

    cheers
    Tony

    Hi Tony.

Welcome along, love to hear some more about the pickups you build.

    HI PP
at the moment i have been rewinding and reslugging squire strat pickups (plastic bobbins) with alnico 5, taking out the ceramic magnet and metal slugs, then rewinding them up to vintage 50's spec.

I just recently wound a vintage spec tele bridge for myself thats a real ripper, i am doing 3 vintage strat clones at the moment.

I scatter wind and charge them by hand with my Rare earth magnet setup (real basic setup) then wax pot them.

I am also doing a Teisco pickup off my 65 WG-4L thats a real pia

    Probably too many Andrew.

I will start a couple of build threads down in the other guitars section, may give some people some wiring ideas as well.

some interesting looking axes Tony. What is the resistance of the tele pickup ? Would be keen to hear a sound demo.
Is the baritone a scratch build ? 25 coats of tru oil = 25 months in the naughty warehouse hahah
