Hi Gav
If you want and indication of what they would go for in the US there is a place called Rock Star Gallery that sells authenticated signed guitars and other memorabilia. The offer you had is probably in the ball park.
Tony
well done Gav, I'd be happy with an offer of $3k. Did you get to meet the band members how did you set up the autographs?

I do have something to say about the tragic incident here... I found out when Channel 7 put it up on Facebook. Now I know they are spreading the tragic news but they had photographers at the scene taking photos of the co-workers who were at the time going through some counseling. At a time like that, it is an utter disgrace to just stand there on the other side of the road taking photos during such a tragic moment, what was contained in the Facebook post they had was alright, but the photos weren't.
I want to offer my condolences to the families of the men who were killed, hope everything gets sorted out.
Pesty is right.
The type of "churnalism" that we are bombarded with is utterly disgraceful.
Hence I refuse to watch any commercial station news or read papers owned by Rupert M as they are filled with sensationalism and blatent lies.
One of our neighbours is a Workplace Safety Inspector, the poo is gunna hit the fan over the three industrial deaths in one day here in Perth.
Those two blokes should never have been underneath those slabs and it reflects badly on an industry that is rife with cowboy antics, mostly due to the devil may care attitude of the companies in the construction industry.
There is also a thing called common sense... Don't stand anywhere near stuff that is being lifted by a crane. It's that simple.
All I can say here is wot DB said! If only we had the same workplace laws as in NZ, if you stand under something being lifted, its instantly sackable on the spot!
if they fined workers a slab of beer for standing under anything lifted by a crane that would lower the workplace deaths by almost 100%
