    Nice one Doc.

    You can spin the D saddle around to get a tad more movement, this should let you get the intonation spot on.
    The only mod you may need to do is to carefully file the groove so it falls back towards the tail piece.

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    I've got a set of 6 nut-slot files in 42-09 gauge, they'll be okay as tools for making the slight grooves, won't they?, I've got 46-10 Gauge strings on the SG at the moment.
