Did I say orbison sander?
Sheesh, just been listening to the Big O and KD Lang singing Crying......
The glue spot isn't under the pickguard, the other 2 I'm not really concerned about so I didn't really check.
As for sanding that was my plan, try the Big O to see if it gets rid of the spot then finish by hand
This is what I've ended up with after attacking the glue spot with Roy:
Still a little bit left but much smaller
So I've sanded to 400, but I'm not sure If I've done a good enough job (I have no idea what I'm doing) especially on the ends of the body. Also noticed a some marks there.
I'm a bit paranoid I'll screw up at this point and the stain wont take

With those glue spots, you need to... You guessed it... Sand, sand and sand some more
Also sand in the direction of the grain, looking at the sides especially around the neck pocket you can still see machining marks.
Sanding in the grain direction you will remove these quite easily.
I would go back to 220 grit and work back up the grades.
Here's a home grown version that stacks up very well against Roy & KD
Jess Cornelius & Mike Rudd ( Spectrum )
