I'm "shaping it" and painting it, but not a true carve like the originals. It's unusual, but adds huge character. I should have a photo of the headstock in the next day or two.

just caught up with this diary, thats looking very nice Moose, love the black touch to the headstock. The rest looks amazing in natural. Can't be far off wiring up and final assembly ?
