Next time I will drill and screw the strap locks in before doing the finish
For my next one I am thinking strat style. I have always liked the Mary Kay finish with gold hardware, a maple fret board and vintage white pearloid pickguard. I might have a go at building a body I have all the tools might as well put them to use. If it turns out ok I will get a neck and the hardware, if not I will get a full kit.
I also have a mahogany LP body that my son was building. He's cut it out and routed the main shape, I could finish this as well. If I do I'm thinking Studio style LP, mahogany red with P90's. Just wish he kept the off cuts so I could change it into a Tele. A mahogany red Tele with hot P90's sounds much cooler to me
wow bummer about the marks near the bridge, would have been better if it was on the back of the body. Oh well at least its got the well used look now !
