    Dingobursts- any dramas?

    Hi all, long time no post.

    I'm keen to try a sunburst using Dingotone, but would like to know if there's any pitfalls to be wary of. Also, any ideas for good colour combinations would be most welcome.

    I don't remember any DT bursts El, you could always try it out an scrap wood!

    wow Bassguy, its been yonks since you have been on the forum, surprised your account still works !
    don't think anyone has tried a DT burst but sure it should be like wudtone.
    What kit will the burst be going on, what type of timber ?
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Yep, DT bursts work really well.
    Unlike the former finish we used to sell, you dont get any "tide" marks when blending..

    Adam has a Strat in his collection that I did a burst on, I will ask him to post a pic for your enjoyment...

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    DB, maybe you can film how you do your bursts with DT?

    thats right I saw that Strat you built with the burst DB, that looked great. Ads had to make sure I didn't leave with it haha

    Yes, I have a Ash Body Jazz bass to work on- piccie attached.

    I have decided on a blue/green burst for this one- green in the centre with deep blue on the outer. What colours are recommended in Dingotone for this?

    ...and yes, I will be popping the grain first...
