@Greg even though I play a lot of punk/metal some of my biggest influences have been bluesmen. Particularly Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker and BB King. I guess I'm always playing the blues.
Build has slowed down a bit. Will be going to the shop in the next 2 weeks to hopefully get the clears on.
You could still use the IB-7 for blues Nicko! Would just be a little weird looking haha

Definitely pest! No such thing as a blues or jazz or metal guitarI play tons of tech/math metal on my strat and it keeps up fine. Cuts the mix even better because it is a bit more trebely. I think dictacting what an instrument should play is extremely silly based off the shape of it/components.

Yeah it all comes down to the fingers, my playing style is a bit out of the ordinary but the tone I can get from my hands is what I want in my mix, plus I have learned to control the EQ a bit from my hands and I can shape the tone to suit whatever I'm playing a lot better!
The Strat is the universal guitar though. Used effectively for every genre equally and without exception. They might not be as common in metal or punk, but by no means unusual.Originally Posted by keloooe

That's looking real nice Nick. Lovely dark colour and that gorgeous Quilted Maple, got to get me some of that.

@wokks I think it's some sort of baked maple. Not really sure though... It certainly is pretty though
nice one Nicko, how did you cut them out with a dremel ? Then file and sand to shape ?
