Thread: RC-4 build

ihasmario, with the way I've done the colouring I'm pretty much locked in to a similar size and shape of the stock 'guard. Intrigued with your plan though.
Weirdy, do you mean separate sheets screwed down individually or more a two ply deal with a very shallow bevel, or stepped edge?

I was thinking two separate sheets, but with the outer/bottom black sheet screwed down and the top white sheet glued onto the bottom one.
    Scott.

    Ok, I understand.
    Thanks.

mayn, that colour is frickin gorgeous! parchment/off white pickguard for sure. maybe you could soak that one in coffee or maybe leave it out in the sun.

i forgot who it is who has made pickguards and stuff for people on here before but id hit that person up for a custom if you cant get hold of one easily

Thanks Ben. I believe pablopepper is the man for all things pickguard. I'm gonna have a go myself first and if that doesn't work out....

You should be able to get a sheet of Black White Black material from eBay... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/24cm-x-63...item27fcee7e6d though not sure it would be wide enough.

I may be the only one here, but I think the white looks good against the off white.

I don't think anything else would work - any off white you get to replace it with won't quite match the off white you already have (and over time won't fade evenly anyway).

Of course, you could always paint the pickguard the same as the bass.
