It's a nice bass, no doubting that. Just to be clear, the Kauri tree itself isn't 50,000 years old, it's more than likely reclaimed swamp Kauri.

yes my understanding was it's essentially wood that originated 50,000 years ago and has since been preserved probably as you said in a swamp

not a bad looking axe Pabs, pretty cool body shape, bit like a distorted Jazzmaster. Another variation on the headstock too
