    Wow man, she really turned out sweet. Personally I love the natural look explorer! Great job. Any chance of a sound demo? Would love to hear those gibson pickups sing from a block of ash.

    Yeah, that's the plan when i get the frets and nut sorted. From what i heard when i was tinkering with it today it has a strat like attack. balanced lows and a fairly pronounced mid-range. I think this is going to be my permanent E flat guitar.

    not sure if any. as with all things some gurus say there is a difference and some say none.
    About as much difference as tone woods in electric guitars
    I've left the neck pickup the way i had it mocked up and installed it backwards, From what I've heard so far it makes bugger all difference.

    Yeah it makes bugger all difference to the overall tone Jason.
    That finish is quite stunning! Love every bit of it, should be a ripper with the Gibbo pickups! Keen to hear how she sounds!

    Nice work! Enjoy playing your first build. Its interesting for me to see how this grain turned out as very similar in places to my TLA-1. Yes, get that plastic nut chucked out; bone is so much better!
