About the paint, do whatever suits you best, if you think something will do the job, try it out on some scrap wood!

After a good (so I think) session of sanding, I decided to do a shellac finish in an old way.
I prepared and boiled a formula of shellac with the ingredients that I could obtain here in my hometown. It contains alcohol, mastic gum, pine resin, turpentine oil and of course shellac.
I also applied a covering for the inside, in case it flows down.

Then it was a difficult decision to choose a decal for my own build
But at last I figured it should look amateur
