Gav, this is coming along nicely and that blue with ash grain is just out of this world!

Interesting with the black burst. From my colortone experiments the wood does seems to saturate with dye around 3-4 coats so maybe the trick word be to hit the border initially with black, do the blue middle bit then vigorously blend the two whilst still wet (whole process 3-4 times)?

Yeah that's interesting Andrew. Normally I do all my dying, bursts included, in one single pass. I've never had an issue before!

Gav, looks pretty darn good with the black! Maybe some gold hardware will really set it off with the blue?

Thanks Callum, if only I could afford the gold kit! Congrats Stan! We needed another overlord to keep Wokks company. Thank god for my thread jackers - they are the ones that keep my posts in the to-be-read lists and at the top of the FB feed. They must be carefully cultivated! hey Wokks??? :P
