    Maybe bend the legs down a bit and go lap steel?

    Thanks guys.

    @ The legs are quite bendy with blackened mushroom head rivet tips to protect the eyeballs. I've figured out the legs will not really interfere with playability, but in any case my guitars usually go up on the wall & gather dust (or cobwebs - tee hee)

    First pic gives a rough idea how the reflective red contact works in the light.
    Now it's off to consider fitting the neck . . .
