Hey Kells Shame you don't have an iPad . You could use your phone as your DAW, you can certainly use this your phone to get a great guitar sound check this out . The audience wasn't very impressed when he was setting up his ipad but there reactions changed after his performance .

There's many multitrack recording apps for phones check out "Multitrack DAW" by Harmonicdog. Or Nanostudio

Hi Kimbal, I've got a Samsung Phone and Tablet. just haven't been able to find the right software. all the stuff I put on the tablet has been crap, apart from Guitar Tabs Pro. I'm about 3 months into trying to learn stairway. No rephrase that trying to remember. problems when you get old. it's hard to remember the stuf you learnt yesterday. mind I can still play Paint it Black and Get off my Cloud that I learnt fourty five odd years ago... LOL

My son used to record onto his ipad, but now he has a Samsung S5 or 6

Hi Kells or do I call you Pk ,yeah love the stones some of best guitar riffs . Not having used any android apps my buddy uses FL Studio Mobile says it's very good.. But if you have a PC notebook or desktop computer get yourself reaper fo $60 dollars it's amazing and pros use it all the time to record . In fact it does do many things that pro tools should do ,but they never got round to doing them. Best $60.00 dollars of anyone's money. If your not sure how to use it. Just watch groove3 tutorial videos you'll be up n running in minutes not hours. Or use you tube lots of reaper 4 lessons on there.
The truly great thing is you can download reaper free and give it a go

Great Vid Kimball, just goes to show that it's not the big buck stuff that gets the sound.
I think we all get a bit caught up on brand name stuff.
He obviously knows his stuff though, and that is the key thing. I doubt I could get similar results with the same gear. He understands sounds, tone, mixing and what makes good audio. A bit like you could give Tommy Emmanuel a cheap guitar, and he would make it sound good

Hi Stan, I think you'd be surprised how good yourself and Daw software can be . Just get the basic song down add other bits as you go along . The most important thing is catching the idea and the inspiration as the moment strikes. We make all these beautiful instruments what better use is there ,than to use them for something creative. I guess its giving the instrument its voice. If I can help in any way please just ask.

In reference to the video he used the cheapest mic cheap interface some software he'd never used before , just to show what can be achieved .we all learn as we go on one step at a time .
