Looks great!
cheers,
Gav.

nice shape Barge, looks like you have made it just big enough to cover the cavity and expose some flame grain on the lower horn.
Great work bro and page 19 this will be the longest thread if there was an award for it haha
@ Stan, I well know I need help mate ! haha

I'm hearin' ya Fretty, unfortunately the shape of the cavity dictates what can/can't be done with the pickguard, as you rightly mentioned.
What about keeping this shape but do it in clear and have the cavity visible? That way you're not hiding any of the flame and could maybe do something interesting with the wiring and the cavity itself? IDK.
Barge might as well get Pabs to cut a clear pickguard and see how it looks, can't hurt bro to see how it looks.
I'm super keen to one day build a clear acrylic body axe after I saw Dave Grohl play one in a video

Yeah that's it eh Wokks, it can't hurt to see how it looks. A nice deep burgundy inside the cavity would work well with the Nullabor Ochre I reckon, imagine flocking it, now that would be something different.
We had a BC Rich Warlock in clear acrylic hanging up at the local music store for a while and I thought it looked cheesy as hell, but might have just been because it was a Warlock:P
yeah Barge burgundy cavity would look fully sick for sure.
Could have been because it was a Warlock, that is one of DB's least favourite axes hahah. Then Iceman. Sure he took off 5 points on my IC GOTM entry just because it was an Iceman haha

Lining the cavities with veneer, hmmmm, now we're getting into unknown territory, I know you'd have no problems pulling something like this off but I'm not really sure if my abilities would extend that far. I'd really need to watch someone actually doing it to get to grips with the process, otherwise I would stuff it up, guaranteed.
As far as the wiring goes, what If I replaced everything with braided shield wire?
