Let any relic-ing happen naturally from excessive playing. I would think trying to simulate wear on the fabric would probably cause problems.

With how much I play it shouldn't be an issuelook at the surfcaster's fretboard
great progress Nick, it's looking really good
Nick, this a great looking psychedelic axe. I may have to emulate the same on a spare tele body I have knocking around, always fancied one of those paisley axes

Cheers lads.
Clear coat has been bought and will commence prep within this week. Been flat out with huge work weeks so might slow down a bit over Xmas.
id love to see a pic in some better lighting. in the first pic it looks like the paisley is almost completely hidden by the burst but in the second pic its more visible. still, after all the effort getting it sorted i wouldnt want to start relicing it up. you should put up some pics of the one youre using for inspiration
Next time you guys see the body will be after completionabout to clear coat it.
In other news - neck is now stained and ready for some tru oil. Really pleased with how the figure is looking even before the oil:
Stay tuned!
Love the neck....nice figure. What colour or stain/finish is that?
This is vintage yellow wudtone. Had some left over![]()
nice work Nicko the yellow neck should look excellent with the paisley
