    Looks great. To me the headstock has a refreshingly clean appearance and nice grain /finish on the body. The black hardware is the perfect contrast.

    I really like this build Robin, you are the king of smooth tru oil finishes. Love the elbow cut mod and the black hardware goes really well with the ash grain. I'd be proud of this axe.
    How do the humbuckers sound, any chance of a sound demo ?
    Like the idea of replacing the 2nd tone pot for a switch, why didn't I think of that !
    so that switch coil splits both the humbuckers that are active ?

    Thanks Andrew and Tony, I guess that old saying of "less is more" is sometimes right.

    @Woks,

    Thanks Warren. My guitars never turn out as planned, they all seem to have a mind of their own. I'm sort of learning to get out of the way and just help them to be whatever they want to be. Lol.

    Individually all the pickups sound really good, at least to my ears, and are nicely balanced across the all three. The Tonerider Alnico IV's have a nice rounded tone without being too dark. Which is exactly the sound I was going for and they sound really good with the Entwistle in positions 2 & 4. Split they sound a bit weak. But I guess there is no way that a relatively weak humbucker is going to sound as good as a single coil when split. One of the pedals on my Boss ME-70 has a "solo" function that boosts the signal, so that's finally going to get some use.

    The single switch is nothing special and just splits both buckers at the same time. But for church (my playing environment) this guitar will have amazing flexibility. Quack to grunt all in one guitar.

    You'll notice that I have completely avoided the sound demo question. One day I will get around to doing one, but I can do without that embarrassment for now.

    Cheers mate,
    rob
