Exciting indeed! Just sat down and had a bash, fretting out in a few spots but I haven't adjusted the bridge or truss yet. Sounds nice and loud acoustically, that's gotta be a good sign.
@Wokka, I've done a temporary one up in the meantime. If I get time I'll try to get it mostly together tonight and bang some pics up.

Emailed the place I'm buying the pickguard blank (I need an oversized one) and got them to send me a replacement because after 42 days I still don't have it. Groan. I hope this one doesn't take long to get here.
