Been thinking about darkening the fretboard, maybe even going black. Any ideas on what to use to do this?

The StewMac method, the local variant, and other possibilities.
Scott.

Now just need to hurry up and wait for another delivery damn!
Damn the stewmac one cant deliver outside the us.
That's why I included the link for the 'local variant', it's the same stuff just labelled slightly differently. Tim used it to stain the fretboard on his 'Midnight' YB-4... but beware, it will stain anything and everything it touches.
Scott.
All good mate, was just gonna order a few other items through stewmac at the same time if I was putting an order in through them. Pet peeve when I can't just get it all in one delivery lol/<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from WeirdBits on October 2, 2014, 22:55

Ok the Hulk is done. Funny though I might need to change the name. This thing with the stock pups is as sweet and tame as a bag of puppies lol. Don't get me wrong it sounds good but it's more supertramp than sex pistols.
posted more images in the photo forum.
All pretty much stock except for the 3 way switch and dunlop straploks.
Colour is wudtone emerald isles but topcoats are tru oil. Neck is tru oil and fingerboard is stained black.
Got a couple of small blowouts in the colour in a few spots on the edges from over sanding and polishing but not worried about it. Too many hours in to go back now but I'll know better for next time.
Now I just need to finish the other kit and look for my next project lol.
