there should be a rule about exercising extreme caution when making guitars which try to incorporate a non guitar interest/design influence
and just again for ultimate creepyness
would it be more or less creepy if "she" had arms?

Here's a couple more for the gallery
Godwin Guitar / Organ, it had segmented frets and the fretted string completed the circuit for the organ note ( no open notes )
Maton El Toro, also available as a bass
Maton L202 ( I have one of these but not this one )
Lucky Starr's Levin, actually a nice sounding instrument I worked with him quite a bit in the early 1970s
Burns Bison

That Godwin is amazing. I want it.

Having played one I have no desire to do so again./<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from pablopepper on September 8, 2014, 18:33

The strings catch on the fret segments when you do bends and if the organ function is in use at the time you bend a string a semitone and get an organ note a 5th below the unbent original unbent note.
All the little switches are like the stops on a Hammond organ so they are fun to get your head around as well.
It really does belong in a museum of silly ideas
Fair call, but the body shape is gorgeous and the cutouts under the strings with the pearloid underneath...so pretty. I could do without the wiring nightmare that would lie under that pickguard though.

I personally think that the Maton El Toro is a superb shape - hence my El Torometer.
Must be in the eye of the beholder I suppose . . . .
Might need to cancel my next secret project for fear of winding up on this UG thread.
Like buggery I will . . . ha ha.
I like the idea of the comically oversized f holes and there is some impressive binding going on, but....ugly.
