It will work, for sure. It's bigger than a cigar box, but I don't think that's gonna matter at all.

Nick sure you can make a cigar box guitar out of your art box, it will be roughly the size of an acoustic guitar. Make a few sound holes, you will have plenty of room !

How thick is the top? If it is too thick the guitar will lose it's acoustic properties.

Hey Pabs. That looks like a perfect box to make an ABG (art box guitar). Go for it man. I'm really keen to see it finished. There's no doubt you'll have a lot of fun making it and you get results very quickly.
