Thread: Introduction before I bombard questions

  1. #11
    Hi

Sorry, took a bit to get back. Trying to find some photos of twins. I found some but didn't know if they were OK to post on the forum and then I get sidetracked...

Sorry bout that. Here's my SV1000 in better days. I say that because a couple of years ago I was taken out on my way to work by a guy coming out of a driveway. 27 broken bones, 6 weeks in a coma, 3 months in hospital later I am alive but not quite able to get back on the bike. I hope to one day though.

    Stuart

Hi Stuart, welcome to the forum, glad you are slowly recovering, sounds like a very nasty accident. Nice looking bike (when it was in one piece). I like the look of naked bikes.
You may have already mentioned in a previous thread but I'm not sure, what kit are you planning to build ?
    Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

Man, that was one hell of a bingle. I think you should stick to normal twins

Thanks Wokkaboy. I am building an ST-1. This is my first kit so I am starting simple. I was going to do a TL, but then they had the ST on sale at Easter so I got that. I figured if I stuff it up it wont have cost me as much!

Stuart - great to hear you're recovering and I hope you can get back on a bike again!

In terms of kits - ST-1's are hard to get wrong - just make sure if you're not sure, post pics and ask for help! It has saved me many hours of rework in the past and could have saved me more if I followed my own mantra! Hope the build goes well and look forward to seeing it progress.

And in a similar vein to Adam, here is my beastie all wet too. But that's because it's raining in Mackay today and I had to move it out of the carport so I could work on another CBG. No man cave here, I'm afraid
