ok Andrew, you would be better spraying in low wind conditions so see if you can hang the neck somewhere in a sheltered area outside will help the consistency of the paint. Same when painting the body. I wouldn't stress since its only the 1st coat. After a wet sand I think your next coat should look better. Remember warm up the spray can and shake for 2 or 3 minutes, swap hands when they get sore !

Will do mate. Back at work now, I usually do 70 hour weeks so time is limited until my next days off. If I can get some sneaky sanding in tonight maybe tomorrow early morning I can go again before I start.

What grit wet sanding do you think I should go?

wet sanding at least 1200 grit. If you can find it preferably 1500 grit and before final coats 2000 or 2500 grit

Some upgrades have been made. Orange drop cap, push pull pots, some sexy knobs and to cap it off, a pair of dragonfire phat screamers. They are made by the same people who do the gfs gear, high output, oversized poles and coil tappable. The set delivered cost only $60. If the reviews are anything to go by this axe is going to be a monster.

Their site and their eBay were the same price. Their site looks a little shady so just went with the eBay option.
The idea for this is to have it drop b and leave it there. That is until I get a 7 string then it'll see drop c. Man I wish an 8 string kit was doable.

Yeah same haha. From what I gather they have a nice tight bottom end and have a nice high mid punch. Theory is if I team them with an ash body which is naturally a bit brighter and cutting as well as the .022 drop cap which won't bleed too much top end clarity to start with I should have a nice tight punchy tone with a nice mid range snarl that the emgs in my esp ec1000 don't have. All theories for now. Don't be surprised if it sounds like absolute bollocks haha.
