got some more work done visited DB yesterday and he kindly helped me get the frets in and dressed, and cut the nut slots in the bone nut. I did a mock build

couple more photos. I clearly stained the headstock too dark so I'll sand it back a bit and try and get the colour closer to the body

Fretwork looks great for your first attempt. Wish I had a super coach like DB.
