Worth a shot to sand those areas back to the black and try again, that was something in the hole that ran out lay it flat maybe, Up near the pickup could be finger mark.

Yeah it's all I can do Hillsy, and just hope that it takes. You'd almost think they were finger marks seeing that they're all round the edge huh? I honestly didn't think it would be an issue, I guarantee it wouldn't have happened with poly lacquer.
looking excellent Bargeloobs, bummer about the 4 spots that bubbled. Looks like you got some sanding to do !
Are you clear coating the back/sides ? love the contrast of black and mahogany

What a mission Wokks I tell ya! Whatever was causing the reaction was right in the timber so I had to strip those little areas right back to bare, I think I've got it now though (fingers crossed). Yeah everything's getting a clearcoat, I've already shot a few coats on the back/sides/neck it's lookin' really nice over the mahogany./<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from wokkaboy on April 28, 2014, 12:17

yer good work Bargeloobs, hope the clear coats don't bubble up this time. Clear coats on mahogany will look excellent with the black top, look forward to updated pics.
