nice primer coat, so ready for coats of black now ? is it satin you are going for Bargeloobs ?

Hey Wokkaboy, whilst the black I'm using is satin (as you can see in the pics) my vision for the final product is a high gloss mirror finish top, now whether I can actually pull that off remains to be seen.
I'm pretty pleased with how the blacks turning out, I've got about 4 coats on now with a light scuff in between, I thinking another smooth sand, one more coat and I might think about scraping the binding tomorrow.
I sanded my headstock back and shot it with a light coat of nitro so (thankfully) everything's back on track again.

After finishing up the black top coats this arvo I scraped the binding and I'm real happy with the results, I can't wait to get some clear over top.
If anyone's got any good suggestions for fixing something to the body so I can hold it a bit easier whilst shooting the lacquer I'd appreciate it, I know it's easier with the bolt on necks but a bit unsure about where to fix something on a set neck body, cheers.

Cheers Gav, I learnt heaps with my first build about how not to scrap the binding so yeah, it came up real sweet on this one thankfully.

    /<\\/p>[[b]]<\\/p>/silver highlights
How do ya mean Hillsy, on the headstock?

On the body, tiny little silver fleck's that catch the light at certain angles but you normally won't see em.
Never used them though so I don't know how it would work out on that finish.

Orr yeah I'm with ya, although it'd be a wicked idea it's a bit over my head mate, I'm following the K.I.S.S principle on this one. Having said that you have given me an idea regarding the colour of my headstock design so cheers for that.
