I got a 2nd sunset outback orange (love the name !) colour coat on yesterday and am getting Wayne to air brush a black/red thin burst, should come up a treat, will post some photos later. I reckon lately the ST-1 basswood grain has been improving on earlier models, they consistently have pretty good grain,
here's a pic of another ST-1 I'm working on, just cut the headstock yesterday and got an Andyport logo on

Okay its a long shot, although not entirely unheard of (Fender did it in the 50s), but I'd call Pine? (trying to think something nothing like Maple, and it looks a bit like a coffee table I used to have.. actually, a bit nicer than a coffee table).
