Scott check out Sam's SG-1 on http://www.pitbullguitars.com/?page_...wtopic&t=971.1 - image http://www.pitbullguitars.com/wp-con...140128_007.jpg - that's an SG in basswood using dark onyx. Pretty black to me. Have been lucky enough to see some after shots of it with some topcoats and it's getting shiny as well!

Scott, Dark Onyx is more of a blue-black than the straight black that Black Magic Woman has,I used it on my LP and it still creates a cool looking burst with the maple!

Yeah maybe Dark Onyx will work better with blending wise because of the purple. Thanks guys

Scott - looking great. Great that you're enjoying the process - that's the most important bit - second is that you get something you can be proud of at the end and have a ball playing!

Nice colour choice Scott. What brand stain are you using?

Nice photos too. I think many of us have had the feeling that brings a big grin to the face...and that is how the kit building addiction starts

    Cheers

Looking very purdy so far, but the grin makes it for me. Your tshirt reminded me of our small motorcycle riders group... The Sons of Antiquity (yeah, 'cause we're old). We even have our own logo (and stubbie holders).

    Cheers,

    Adam
