Awesome entries from everyone this month! Very nice sentiments behind your build Scott, I'm sure your dad would have loved the finished product, it looks fantastic! Judging by the specs I'm sure it plays really nicely too![]()

Bazinga,
Judges, you have your work cut out for you this month. I think the quality and creativity of your loyal customers is increasing so fast. This forums members are always happy to share techniques, ideas and honest feedback. You should be proud of providing a place to share a great hobby (or business).
Fellow GOTM entrants. All the best for each of your sweet looking guitars. Thanks for your support and free advice. I enjoy being able to share details, ask questions and appreciate the ease some of you provide solutions to problems.
On a side note. I have been desiring a strat since I was young enough to appreciate fine tunes by such artists as Clapton, Knofler, Stevie Ray and others. I finally built one - platinum brother (couldn't afford a real one). Let me tell you however I have been caught off guard by how much I love the sound of the LP-1P kit (with my own custom pickups). I also appreciate it's lightness. Almost to say that it kicks arse over the strat. I never thought I would say that. Matched with the tubescreamer clone I built, this guitar rocks out. I have borrowed my brothers line 6 sonic kit so I should be able to record some higher quality tunes. Just need to practice more somewhat for better finger abilities. Oh, and repossess the guitar, I loaned it to my brother, he wants to keep it by the sounds. He loaned the strat since Christmas but loves the LP so much more.
Happy building.
Stick a mic or video camera in front of you next time you plug in your LP-1P, I'm sure we'd all like to hear it.
Cheers,
Adam

Thanks for all the great comments guys. Its been put through the ringer the last few days getting hammed to Avenged Sevenfold and some old Black Sabbath. Sounds very aggressive it drop D&C.

Just so you all know.... I hate all of you for building such BEAUTIFUL guitars! you have given me ulcers and a brain attack trying to judge these gorgeous, sexy and oh so expertly built and finished works of art. Each one of you deserve to win, and in my mind you are all winners. Thank you for sharing these builds with us...
Ok, the results are in...
Congratulations to all eleven entrants this month, it was a particularly tough one to judge.
Second runner up is:
Gavin Turner’s JR-1DC
"The quality of finish here is just superb Gav, beautiful down to the very last detail.
Your level of experience is really starting to show through.
Good colour choice and the pickguard you have chosen gives it a real unique feel. Wonderful effort."
"I would kill to have this guitar in my collection."
First runner up is:
Gavin Bramley's HB-4 Baritone
"The level of finish on this is just incredible, Gavin.
The attention to detail is brilliant and shows the huge amount of time and care that must have been devoted to it.
A great conversion that has been superbly executed. Oozes class!"
"Great work, something a little different and well finished."
And, the Winner of February Guitar of the Month is:
PabloPepper's PBH-4
"Wow...I really like this. The green is a revelation, and with the black hardware, it has huge wow factor.
The build quality you have achieved looks fantastic. It has real mass appeal, while still maintaining its own individuality. Excellent stuff, Pablo."
"This one is special. I've been around guitars my whole life and I have never seen a bass (or guitar) in this colour... it is original and it works! It doesn't hurt that the finish and assembly is flawless. I can't fault this one."
"Wow beautiful, great colour. Doesn't look like a pretender to me. I would pick this up in a shop."
Well done Craig (PabloPepper)!
Cheers,
Adam
