Andy's decals are simply brilliant. Put some on my guitars tonight and I love them! Which reminds me...I need to email Andy and thank him personally, but in the meantime some public recognition for his excellent work and a recommendation to anyone wanting quality decals not to hesitate for a moment to contact Andy!

This is an awesome looking guitar Gav. I think it mentioned once before that I'd love to play some jazz on it. To me it's just screaming jazz/blues.

@Lawry - thanks man. It's a really great kit and it's coming along nicely. The clear coats are taking an age to get finished, but I can't wait to have this thing together and twanging. Of course what I will end up playing on it will be largely a travisty .

    cheers,
    Gav.

That's cool. My jazz playing is a bit of a travesty in itself. Hehehe.

    hi guys,

Well, my tru-oil has cured for a week and now it's time to start polishing with Colortone compound from Stewmac. Got it rubbed down with 'medium' grade today (my aching shoulders!) and have 'fine' and 'swirl remover' grades to go. I'm already happy with the level of shine.

Just a few more days to go and the finish will be done. Then I can concentrate on the wiring!

    cheers,
    Gav.

That's a nice deep reflection you've got happening there. Can you use Colourtone on Wudtone?

@Lawry - Thanks dude. Yeah I've used it on Wudtone and it shined it up quite nicely. It's like any other cutting compound - you just need a thick enough clear layer to begin with.

    cheers,
    Gav.

Cool. I may give it a try sometime. It sure has made the florentine shine!
