Good question AJ . I can't see it doing any harm as long you don't burn it. I'll give it a try on bit of wood tomorrow and get back to you on that one

AJ - check Robin's posts - from memory, he was saying you could do a couple of coats a day. Personally - I'm not in this for the short game, so if I have to wait 4-5 days for my BMW to cure, then so be it... Likewise with Tru Oil - if it takes 1-2 days for a coat to cure is that a bad thing?

agreed Brendan if you take your time each layer will cure and harden better than using less curing time.
I don't know enough about infra red light curing but sure it's fine - time will tell I spose.
I'd never apply more than 1 coat per 24 hour period with any type of stain/clear.
Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck
Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in
I only get short periods of time where I can be productive, I cant see a problem if it does the job in less time with the same high quality expected finishing standard
