    Guitar body, that is :P

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Quick question. Is the Vintage Blonde a solid base like T-bird. Or is it mostly transparent?

How close is VB in reference to the picture in the op. is it a creamy white or does it have a bit more yellow in it?

Bump. Just wanting to find out about this colour so I can see if its suitable for what I want to do with it before I order it.

I recently asked DB about doing a solid white Wudtone, with this question "... I want to do a white finish, essentially as white as possible. *Ideally, I want it to be solid white or, at the very least, white that varies slightly with the grain. *Which do you think would work best, Olympic Girl or Vintage Blonde?". He recommended Vintage Blonde. I haven't received my order yet, so I can't tell you how solid the colour ends up (my plan is to use it on Mahogany).

If you're uncertain, your best bet will be to email DB (dingobass {at} pitbullguitars.com) with the specifics of what you are wanting to do and get his opinion.

I haven't had a chance to use the VB on any wood yet but in the bottle it looks VERY cream. There is a white base that comes with it so you can vary the colour so I suppose you could start with the white and add colour.

The VB 'system' is much like the Surfer Girl green I'm doing at the moment - the colour is quite transparent no matter how many coats you apply (which I actually like) and I also found with the Surfer Girl that no matter how much of the white base I added, it didn't really change the colour much (I added all of the white in the end) and was happy with the result - so I'm assuming the VB will have the same type of transparency?
