    Hey Pest,
sure I'll be highlighting body and headstock, may do a test sample on scrap wood to see if gold or silver highlights go best with the purple, am swaying towards gold. Bass Guy what highlights are you putting on your ama EX-1L kit ?

    Coming along superbly now.
I do like your headstock shapes - an artful slant on the original.
That amaranthine seems a devious colour depending on light conditions? Blue - Violet - Purple - Magenta?
I'm hoping to see it for real one day.

Looking wild! Hopefully mine will turn up tomorrow? Either way I can guarantee it won't end up looking as radical as this.

@ Rhay --> Cool, another SGD owner, lets hope it shows up soon, what colour you got planned ?
@ Maxaxe --> yes the colour in photos depends on lighting and angle but trust me in the flesh amaranthine is purple.
Here's pics of 3rd base coat after 3 deep coats, I'm happy with the depth of the colour, trying to decide whether gold or silver hightlights will improve the look. Thoughts Bass Guy or DB on highlights ?
Anyway got 2 weeks to get top coats and bolted together, a big challenge is ahead assembling this baby, but I'm up for it !
On the subject of purple big shout out to Freo Dockers fans, good win against the Steggles today !
