Thread: Gavs Man Cave

  1. #1
I was fortunate enough to visit Gav's man cave in the Northern coastal suburbs of WA this morning. Very impressive.

    Here's some shots I took:

Nice to seee a healthy selection of Wudtone Finish on the table.

In progress, an FV-1 in Cherry Flamenco? Sensing a strong contender for GOTM June?

Another one on the way... an IB-1 in How Auburn? This looks amazing in the flesh.

Gav's acoustics are amazing, I was lucky enough to have a quick strum and they sound as good as they look.

I forget the name of this wood, but I was drawn to this one... looks good enough to eat.

The man himself (and just a small selection of his tools).

Thanks for showing me around your man cave Gav.
    Cheers,

    Adam

That wood you liked Adam is Black Hearted Sassafras (Tassie Wood)!
Stui, when you are as old as me you will have collected lots of toys, err, tools!

    Gee, nice setup Gav.

If age was the only criteria, that would mean I should about have twice as many toys/tools as you. But unfortunately I don't even have a workshop or a man cave to put them in. lol

And you have some very nice guitars there. I presume the acoustics are scratch built? They look gorgeous.

    cheers

Yep, ever since I visited Gav's Man Cave I have had the worst case of Man Cave envy!

The trick to amassing such an impressive collection of toys, errr, tools, is to buy a few every pay week.
That's what I do... all I need now is a bigger Man Cave to store them all!

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

DB, I have told you a million times, you are welcome to store the finished ones at my place....

Rob, yes, the acoustics are all scratch builds.
