Callum, this is the headstock on my Gretsch (yes, I know it needs a clean).

I think some adaption of this would work well on you LP-1S... maybe a bit shallower on the top.

So many designs for a small chunk of maple.... I'll take my template to school today and see what I can come up with...

    Hi Callum,

I think you could still possibly use the same two colours in the sunburst arrangement but check with DB. You might need to add a red or orange (special mix) as a third colour?

But the Wudtone sunburst uses two colours, having two is enough for this kit to look sexy!

And with the headstock, I couldn't fit a Gretsch shape into the design, so, I will use the double-scollop-thingy that wokka showed me... Credit to ya mate!!!

Also, the finalised finish plan is done! It will be Dark Onyx and Goldenrod Sunburst, but I don't want it looking too much like my LP Junior, so I decided on doing the Goldenrod as the outer colour and Dark Onyx as the inner colour!!!

Hmmmmm. a "reverse" sunburst... I like it!

The headstock design is close, but if I may suggest that you round the outside profile rather than having straight lines.
The LP is a beautiful roundy shaped thing and I am not so sure that straight lines belong...

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

As I said before, so many designs for a little chunk of maple!!! Also, will the outer sunburst color also do the neck???

Let's see what Callum has conjured up today... The headstock now shall now not have those 45 degree cuts, but instead it will have a pair of curves... Now, what guitar does that sound like? Well, for people who know their guitar bodies, I'm basically cutting out the top of an SG on the headstock!!! Name: Mini-G!!!

    Cheers,
    Callum
