Grant's is pretty amazing. Gold binding, TV-Jones pickups Babicz bridge. One to aspire to!
Given all the choices, you ought to be able to find something you like at TV-Jones.
Which makes me wonder... Grant, which ones did you put in yours?

That's why the strings look the same even though the pickup is closer .... because the TV Jones pole distance is just a tiny bit longer...
Took me ages to find out how you knew the pickups were TV Jones....
But that proves my thought of a TV Jones pickup to a fender Bridge.
I've gone over the build diary - a LOT of work..... quite a few things quite outside the "normal"... someone has done this "before"...
The logo - I wonder how that was made?
The logo piece is made from the same clear acrylic used for the pickguard, gold vinyl on back and vinyl lettering on top, generously designed by forum member Sonic Mountain.
I'm into double digits with kit builds and usually try something new on each one.
Definitely NOT TV Jones pickups in mine, as much as I would like them to be.
Grant
My bad! I had TV Jones on the brain (maybe because they are made in my home state?). Grant clearly says he used Fender pickups.
In the words of Ronald Reagan, "If you are right 98% of the time, who cares about the other 6%?"
Would I be right to say those are actual Gretsch knobs? ;-)

You'd think so, right? I can't find anywhere that Fender actually publishes the spec on their website. To make it more confusing, Fender owns Gretsch. While you can buy Gretsch pickups I can't find anywhere that they publish string spacing specs either. Also, Gretsch pickups have had different widths over the years so they could be 49, 51 or 52mm. I guess if you are interested you'd need to correspond with Fender/Gretsch to find out.
As befits a mfg with the reputation of TV Jones they seem to publish a very complete set of specs, even including sound samples. Makes me wish I could afford them ;-)
Yes - the more I look at aTV JONES the more impressed I am in them.... (however I think it'd be better if they did the same piece of music for each sample, so the differences in pickup can be more easily identified) for now my Artec is good enough and I can't really justify the cost either, but I think for my next I'll get a "classic" or "classic plus" bridge pickup.
I have a friend who lives in Poulsbo Washington, where TV Jones is located. I keep looking for an excuse to visit him so that I can visit the TV Jones showroom. It is n a beautiful part of the world, as long as you are OK with rain, but it's not really on the way to anywhere. It started as a customizing shop in LA. Now the shop is in a place where you can't even get to the nearest large city (Seattle) in less than 1.5 hours, which including a boat ride. Not the sort of place that guitarists are likely to just happen upon. I figure they have to be great pickups, because nobody's making a living on the local business ;-)
Well, before I knew it.... third iteration.
I've ordered another 24 3/4" neck from Pitbull, levelled the frets and fashioned a headstock.
again - a 'merge of the Telecaster headstock and the Epiphone batwing...

I'm also building a jig to align the neck to a centreline... so as to put that centreline onto the body blank - as well. as to place the middle screw for the bridge. etc
I'nm still thinking of a white "transparent" colour - using the Whittles colour with a roller did help it a bit..... but I'm now thinking to use it more as atint rather than a stain......
